Description of Practice
Mediates family, divorce, custody, economic issues. Trains legal and mental-health professionals to become mediators. Trains mediators. Mediates business, real estate, workplace disputes. Arbitrates and handles other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Active in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, especially in ADR.
Attorney for 50 years, mediator for more than 30 years.
Ed works as a mediator in family practice and in other areas of practice, including but not limited to Postal Service, Transportation Security Administration, National Archives, ADA mediation for Key Bridge Foundation (US Justice Department, EEOC.
BS in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. JD from Temple University School of Law.

I received my initial 40 hour training in 1982 from Sara Greeb and Martin Kranitz. From the mid- 80's to date I have attended almost every AFM, SPIDR, and ACR meetings. I have attended at least 2 Family Section (ACR) summer meetings. I have taken Transformative Mediation training with the Postal Service. (REDRESS) I am a postal service mediator. I have taken ADA training- two days, with Key Bridge and am an ADA mediator with them (Peder Madia). I have attended numerous workshops and have given workshops and 40 and 20 hour basic and advanced training programs since 1982. I created the first law school program in the US, ( 1994) in which, we trained (24 hours)and brought 3rd year law students in Phila Family court to mediate custody cases over a 14 week semester. I taught that course for 12 years. I don't have specific dates for my training. . I received the Sir Frances Bacon award from the Pa Bar Association, three years ago, recognizing my work as a mediator and my efforts to advance mediation in Pa. I am listed in Best Lawyers in America as a "Best" mediator.
