Approach

The vast majority of conflicts involve an underlying relationship component in addition to the apparent substantive issues. Our approach is to deal with both. Our mediation style will be to facilitate effective communication between the parties, engender understanding between them, draw out the underlying reasons for the conflict by helping the parties get to the root of what drives their choices, seeking to dismantle any barriers to constructive change, and guide and encourage them toward resolution. Foundational to our approach are biblical principles concerning individual responsibility for one's role in a conflict, consideration of the ineterests of all impacted by the conflict, and the impact of relationship issues in the existence and resolution of the conflict.

Fees

There is no charge for up to 30 minutes telephone or in-office consultation to explain our process and how we may be able to assist you. Case evaluation, individual guidance, mediation and arbitration sessions are billed at an hourly rate. The basic per party rate for mediation is $140/hr. Arbitration panel per party is $180/hr. If mediation or arbitration is chosen, there is also a nominal filing fee to cover case administration costs. Case administration and session fees are payable in advance. Reduced fees on a sliding scale are available for those with a limited income or faced with unusual financial hardship. We accept VISA, MasterCard or Discover.
