Description of Practice

For over 25 years, Susan Regan, MFT, has worked in divorce, separations, and mediation. She is a trained and licensed professional who has helped hundred of families and couples get their lives back on track and resolve issues amicably. She is currently running several divorce and separation support groups and specializes in co-parenting and mediation.

Professional Background

-Mediator certification through SEEDS community Resolution Center in Berkeley CA; 40 hrs, 2009 -Coparenting custody evaluation trainings with Northern California Mediation Center: Co-parenting/Parent Coordinator and Mediation Issues and Custody Topics to Consider; 13 hours in 2010, 13 hours in 2011; 13 hours in 2012 -ED and Founder of Bay Area Children First, a non-profit organization -Ran a staff of 17 and trained clinicians to facilitate therapeutic supervised visitation -UC Berkeley preschools- facilitated mediation between staff and between parents and teachers for conflict resolution from 2009-2014

Approach

Susan does not specialize in the financial separation aspect of divorce. Her expertise is in co-parenting. She creates an emotional container for parents to talk about separation from the beginning- how to talk to their kids to separating households to securing the children emotionally and developing appropriate visitation schedules for their childrens’ different developmental ages. She also helps facilitates parents completing their parent separation and MSA agreements. She has many other resources that assist her in making these agreements legally binding.

Fees

Susan charges a rate of $190/hour for her services.
